What You will Learn

This online course shows you how to use Word 2007 to create word processing documents. It shows you how to use the Ribbon-based Word 2007 interface, how to create and format documents, and how to add lists, tables, and images to your documents.

Getting Started

· Identify features of the new Word 2007 user interface
· Identify and use the five different views offered by Word 2007
· Create a new document
· Create a document based on a template
· Save a Word document
· Print a Word document

 

Typing and Editing Text

· Use the Undo, Redo, and Repeat features
· Use Paste Options to control how copied text is pasted
· Use the Office Clipboard to store and paste text
· Find and replace a text string using the Find and Replace dialog box
· Create and insert a building block in a document
· Correct errors using the Proofing Errors feature

Formatting Text

· Demonstrate the various methods to change selected text's font, size, and color
· Explain how to apply certain font styles, such as bold, italics, and underlining, to your text
· Implement a variety of Font Effects and Change Case features in your document
· Utilize the highlighting tool to further format your document
· Operate the tools used to clear and copy formatting
· Differentiate between the two versions of AutoFormat
